We are hiring a full-time Class 3 Truck Driver & Labourer to work at our Grande Prairie Head Office.

As the Class 3 Truck Driver & Labourer, you are responsible for:
  • Transporting rental equipment and paperwork to and from customer locations and between Rentco branches
  • Working as a Yard Hand at the shop when not driving
  • Providing excellent customer service by being friendly and professional and by offering suggestions or accommodating reasonable requests 
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensuring that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order and equipment is loaded according to legislation
  • Maintaining electronic logbooks according to Federal Hours of Service regulations
  • Ensuring load-related documentation is completed accurately 
  • Recording information on pick-ups and deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered
  • Ensuring that equipment and materials are loaded and unloaded safely using appropriate tools when required (e.g. dollies, lifts, etc.)
  • Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage to dispatch/Branch Manager
  • Alerting Branch Manager to any customer, mechanical, or delivery problems
  • Completing paperwork (electronic logbooks, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, etc.) timely and accurately
You have the following education, training, and skills:
  • Valid Class 3 Driver’s licence. We are not looking for Class 1 driver's at this time.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability work with people in a professional manner
You can work in the following conditions:
  • 40 hours a week plus overtime when required
  • Traveling within the Peace County
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE
