Bobcat & Doosan of the Peace (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd). is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for 60 years. We are a full line Bobcat dealership as well as the dealership for Doosan Heavy equipment.  We boast a strong sales and service team, and a fully stocked parts room. 

We are currently looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician (2nd Year Apprentice to Journeyman) to join our Service team.

As the Heavy Equipment Technician, you are responsible for:

• Troubleshooting and completing diagnostic repairs
• Completing the installation of new and added on equipment
• Cleaning, lubricating, and other maintenance work
• Ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
• Maintaining a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques

You have the following skills and education:

• Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (or 2nd-4th Year Apprentice); or equivalent
• Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract and the ability to go on service calls when required
• Experience working on bobcats, loaders, etc.
• Knowledge of power, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure

You can work in the following conditions:

• 40 hours a week plus on-call and overtime when required
• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, both at our shop and at customer locations
• Working with your hands and lifting heavy objects
• Working while wearing PPE required including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
